<br />
There are many ways to use stencils in scrapbooking, and with mixed media's influence and techniques you can really have fun. Combine your stencil with ink, paint, texture paste, gel medium, pen or pencil. You can also mist through them... the ideas are endless.<br />
<br />
Here are a few projects from our design team to show you what is possible.<br />

I was thinking about this during the week and for me Scrap Mixing is evolving into using more than one technique or item on a page... really using up what we have on hand to create a layout and a memory.<br />
<br />
Today's challenge is: <b><span style="font-size: large;">Use your stash of RIBBONS</span></b><br />
<br />
The idea is that you want to use more than one ribbon on your work of art.Bonus if you use them in a unique way. Here are some ideas to inspire you:<br />

<br />
<b>Challenge</b>: Use 3+ stamps on a project<br />
<br />
<b>Description</b>: If you're anything like me you will have a stash of stamps just as big as your pattern papper that we used in our last challenge.... well now is the perfect time to haul them out and use them. Choose at least three and stamp on your project... you can use them for a background, and embellishment, texture, title or just wording.... no restrictions at all, just use them.<br />

I am excited to be part of the team and to challenge you to use up your stash, to create a layout and to think outside the box.<br />
<br />
<b>Challenge</b>: Use 6+ pattern papers on a layout<br />
<br />
<b>Description</b>: We all have a stash of pattern papers, well let's use them. I challenge you to use AT LEAST 6 different pattern papers on a layout. Add as few or many photos as you would like.... really it's just about making a layout with lots of paper. Think squares, strips, circles.... wherever your imagination takes you.<br />
<br />
<b>Theme</b>: What does Scrap Mixing mean to you?<br />
<br />
This could mean that you scrap a photo of you, or your scraproom, or those everyday memories or even simply using your stash. We are really about being open to creativity and using what we have on hand.<br />
<br />
To spark off your imagination, here are some layouts from the team:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">For me scrapmixing is all about using what's on hand... I used 13 different pattern papers on this page, as well as flowers, stickers, buttons, bling and washi tape.

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hi there, here's a little tutorial about the page I created;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNQass0thBjnL2TTducNpmy2njBl5dyUK2g8cXcIvJE0R_ZgMvdjrssLMIPggAtrjl64OBuQyp-ixWr1-kQBYPSXB65L8bJ2p8Jp5mHlg9ykJ5G4hQq-dTYum0fNIFA_3iUyeUu-2x4-U/s1600/P1050049nieuw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNQass0thBjnL2TTducNpmy2njBl5dyUK2g8cXcIvJE0R_ZgMvdjrssLMIPggAtrjl64OBuQyp-ixWr1-kQBYPSXB65L8bJ2p8Jp5mHlg9ykJ5G4hQq-dTYum0fNIFA_3iUyeUu-2x4-U/s400/P1050049nieuw.jpg" width="397" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started with adding some Turqoise Inka Gold on the paper and spread it out from the left to the right, it gives that gorgeous shimmer, love it ! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFGilTwZWc-UOyEqBKaoosXqIvyCx24r-Op0JkDBAYxMD-BIKeID8uwsPcTjpIqcR7sYNtq-JNsDcyM3mT6CxImkCcQnovpvN4AgUJQfEUDD8JwnKupWha53f5Sa_WHj7sMo1QgOy_L7E/s1600/P1050040.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFGilTwZWc-UOyEqBKaoosXqIvyCx24r-Op0JkDBAYxMD-BIKeID8uwsPcTjpIqcR7sYNtq-JNsDcyM3mT6CxImkCcQnovpvN4AgUJQfEUDD8JwnKupWha53f5Sa_WHj7sMo1QgOy_L7E/s320/P1050040.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Under and above the photo I layered some circles which I have punched with a circle punch, so easy but it gives such a nice look.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLLxxzlhFu108Wekc9A80eI5ODK1i0aBMZi0o1LEcvvA-KZag0HNXV96oY85sd99fQA2wHbGrNa7Y7_pZUsg1vCnMl8q1N3BfWAzzYHHO0mTidI9eNHY2Bwd5ABA9apCq4amcMLKNVeEc/s1600/P1050042.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLLxxzlhFu108Wekc9A80eI5ODK1i0aBMZi0o1LEcvvA-KZag0HNXV96oY85sd99fQA2wHbGrNa7Y7_pZUsg1vCnMl8q1N3BfWAzzYHHO0mTidI9eNHY2Bwd5ABA9apCq4amcMLKNVeEc/s320/P1050042.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I took a stencil from Crafters' workshop and added some distress ink (peacock feather) to it, place it here and there on the paper for a nice effect</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitjcx4nS3D1pxPLCyIcJhBb_jTGMGiRpoChH8_ZOkqFHmRkTRXLU6VWSQwvcR5ehZrbECtVE-VPgx3Z2hr5BVWCbccYOUzJ6PwtiGKRqHz-7C7j3LU4AtrhpOm7z-PAnhFVLrEOeYffaY/s1600/P1050043.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitjcx4nS3D1pxPLCyIcJhBb_jTGMGiRpoChH8_ZOkqFHmRkTRXLU6VWSQwvcR5ehZrbECtVE-VPgx3Z2hr5BVWCbccYOUzJ6PwtiGKRqHz-7C7j3LU4AtrhpOm7z-PAnhFVLrEOeYffaY/s320/P1050043.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Added some stamps here and there all over the paper , on the wooden shell I also added a layer of Inka Gold</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Cut out this star from a piece of scraps, it makes me feel so happy to use up some old pp's or just cut out some parts of it. Take a look in your old leftover stash and see what beautiful things you still can make with it !</div>

Hello everyone<br />
<br />
I'm Kerri one of the Scrapmixers design team. I have for you today a 'CAS' (Clean and Simple) mixed media canvas art tutorial. I thought with valentines coming up it would make a great gift for the one you love. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9W0s1JyOL5C6rynU73gpjEeE0ZqDgh9tD6AgMdn8v1r2kRHvXNwytuavOcf1masqtmhXCw7M7ACC38Rd6FwU8rKgUBtF8V8l3e0XeqD9uXClsR4Bq8ZgzdMCzYdaDszwD1UbNflFTJr7Y/s1600/love+canvas.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9W0s1JyOL5C6rynU73gpjEeE0ZqDgh9tD6AgMdn8v1r2kRHvXNwytuavOcf1masqtmhXCw7M7ACC38Rd6FwU8rKgUBtF8V8l3e0XeqD9uXClsR4Bq8ZgzdMCzYdaDszwD1UbNflFTJr7Y/s320/love+canvas.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
To create this canvas I used:<br />
<br />
Square canvas<br />
Red Spritz Ink<br />
Hematite Spritz Ink<br />
Gold embossing powder <br />
Clear emboss ink pad <br />
'Love' stencil <br />
Arrow stencil<br />
Gold mirror arrows<br />
Black metallic paint<br />
Gold spotted craft tape<br />
Gold gems<br />
Black wooden arrow<br />
Gold & black paper<br />
<br />
Essential tools: <br />
<br />
Heart punch<br />
Tacky glue<br />
Heat gun <br />
<br />
<br />
Step 1: I used the red spritz ink to cover the canvas, once dry I added drips of the hematite spritz ink by removing the spray nozzle and dripping the ink, I then left to completely dry. <br />
<br />
Step 2: I applied the 'Love' stencil to the centre and then applied clear emboss ink, I removed the stencil and added gold embossing powder. I tapped off the excess powder onto a scrap piece of paper and put back into the pot so not to waste any. I used my heat gun to heat the embossing powder leaving behind a beautiful foiled effect 'Love'. <br />
<br />
Step 3: I applied my arrow stencil to the top edge and used black metallic paint, I then repeated the process to the bottom opposite edge. <br />
<br />
Step 4: I applied self adhesive gold mirror arrows above each of the black stencilled areas. <br />
<br />
Step 5: I cut craft tape into thin strips with triangular edges and applied to the top left hand corner. I then added gold gems and a mini wooden arrow. <br />
<br />
Step 6: I used a heart punch in gold and black paper to create the mini heart for the top left hand corner. <br />
<br />
If you would like to create this canvas you can find all the materials on www.imaginedesigncreate.co.uk and use code 'Scrapmixers' to received 10% off. If you have been inspired by this canvas to create your own mixed media art please do share it with us in the comments. We love to see your work. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
here is the stamp set I used for the card</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3bt0t2MN92s/VjpXIRPh8DI/AAAAAAAAFI0/dLR-QQnAlbM/s1600/20151102_150923-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3bt0t2MN92s/VjpXIRPh8DI/AAAAAAAAFI0/dLR-QQnAlbM/s320/20151102_150923-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1. Here the second generation technique ,i start by stamping the image over the cardstock without re-inking the same stamp I stamped over the cardstock and that give me that second image more lighter and that is why is call the 2nd generation stamp it will added t o your card a dimension effect</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aamK3i6iwoM/VjpXMVOCHfI/AAAAAAAAFI8/-suCU69-ihk/s1600/20151102_151343.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aamK3i6iwoM/VjpXMVOCHfI/AAAAAAAAFI8/-suCU69-ihk/s320/20151102_151343.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2.Them I added some color sponge the top part of the card with radiant neon color I used the blue color so i have a blue sky background</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gv5Eko32B70/VjpXQVe0cMI/AAAAAAAAFJE/EpF3511Lh4k/s1600/20151102_151524.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gv5Eko32B70/VjpXQVe0cMI/AAAAAAAAFJE/EpF3511Lh4k/s320/20151102_151524.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3.The I did the same for the bottom part to give a illusion of green grass</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0xkRr3C3zF8/VjpcCSjmVTI/AAAAAAAAFJQ/D2hrUjItOQE/s1600/20151102_153430-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="201" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0xkRr3C3zF8/VjpcCSjmVTI/AAAAAAAAFJQ/D2hrUjItOQE/s320/20151102_153430-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
4. Here I want to give a little color to the tress so I colored the tree truck wit a brown pencil</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
and added as well some Neon Amplify to added dimension this very easy to used just apply the amount you want in the area and apply heat (using the heat gun ) and the will active the ink to pop just like is you was embossing you can see effect in the next picture as well</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-s2drryfBJLI/VjpcGIaaglI/AAAAAAAAFJY/9rfhw98n2og/s1600/photoedit_1446509860250.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-s2drryfBJLI/VjpcGIaaglI/AAAAAAAAFJY/9rfhw98n2og/s320/photoedit_1446509860250.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
5.I used the same here for the tress give the look of light bulbs on the tree when you applied the Neon Amplify pigment ink</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-M3i9MSvKk3U/VjpcJ-LfajI/AAAAAAAAFJg/WnaaC4s7MXs/s1600/photoedit_1446509102463.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-M3i9MSvKk3U/VjpcJ-LfajI/AAAAAAAAFJg/WnaaC4s7MXs/s320/photoedit_1446509102463.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am back with my first tutorial for Scrapmixers. I am going to show you how to create a layered steampunk card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used a selection of Leli-bot Steampunk papers and the butterfly stamp by Gecko Galz</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiucpBd0C_t1OMSgbGpwoVoFlYSeySvGZ7z3qx5gycZdNTZXWs8NRQftmZrhdd78rK4NxuWdediSE16LA2fFvyUV0p5VOQk0MwqZwbdIElIIsX3bYgDgoC2o-DBbS5Bhz0dNQgupMNBUIip/s1600/P1140555.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="363" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiucpBd0C_t1OMSgbGpwoVoFlYSeySvGZ7z3qx5gycZdNTZXWs8NRQftmZrhdd78rK4NxuWdediSE16LA2fFvyUV0p5VOQk0MwqZwbdIElIIsX3bYgDgoC2o-DBbS5Bhz0dNQgupMNBUIip/s400/P1140555.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First cover the card with patterned paper and then cut a strip off another sheet. Use a boarder punch to create a lacy edge.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cut out a square using nesting dies and adhere to card.</div>
<br />

I used the F<a href="http://www.trimcraft.co.uk/products/FEDIE008/first-edition-dies-haberdashery">irst Edition Haberdashery Die Set</a> and cut out the scissors using the gold gilded paper from the Botanical notes paper pad. I stuck this into the center of the butterfly.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next i die-cut some small cogs and adhered them to the butterfly wings and around the card.</div>

An amazing steampunk themed card by our talented designer Katie.<br />
Thank you Katie for this amazing technique/card tutorial.<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>A butterfly reminds me of freedom</b>. When do you feel yourself free?<br />
<br />
For me it must be creating. I transfer in the world of creativity and create like there are no boundaries. No Good or Wrong way to make a card/mini-album/layout etc. I can express myself and SHARE my work/ my story with the world. The most important for me now is to inspire all scrapmixers.<b> You are a scrapmixer too. Remember that. </b><br />
<br />
While creating I am aware of my <b>freedom</b>. Doing what I love.<br />
I'm looking back occasionally at my designs I've created and the stories I told and I see a pattern. Of who I am, what I want.... <br />
<br />
While creating, I'm lifting my creativity to the unlimited and I get to know what I think it's important to tell. That way I learn myself. I love to learn, to paint, to create but also to teach.<br />
<br />
<b>Who are you? What pattern do you see in your work and the stories you tell? What/Who is/are important to you? </b><br />
Did you forget to tell stories about someone who IS <b>important</b> to you but you never got to scrap a lot about him/her?<br />
Well, I would say, look at your creations and scrapbook more about yourself....<br />
<br />

<div style="font-family: Merriweather,Georgia,"Times New Roman",Times,serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.5px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<span style="color: white;">I decided to take a break from creating layouts to create something a little more fun and three dimensional. I had this old wood box that I collaged years ago and covered in beeswax. I decided to give it a makeover and this is what I came up with.</span></div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.5px; margin-bottom: 24px;">

<span style="color: white;">Supplies</span></div>

<li>Tacky tape</li>
<li>foam tape</li>
<li>Dylusions mini couture stamp</li>
<li>Ranger Distress Inks</li>
<li>7 gypsies color wash</li>
<li>assorted small silk flowers</li>
<li>purse handle</li>
<li>gold paint</li>
<li>electric drill</li>
</ul>
<div style="font-family: Merriweather,Georgia,"Times New Roman",Times,serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.5px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<span style="color: white;">Unfortunately I didn't take photos during the process so I'll walk you through some of the more interesting techniques.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Merriweather,Georgia,"Times New Roman",Times,serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.5px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<span style="color: white;">I started off with the little envelope on the left. I knew I wanted stuff growing out of it so I tucked in some lace and flowers. The flowers I had were cream colored so I hand painted them to match my other elements using distress paints. This is super easy and looks great. Create a palette on a craft mat using several coordinating distress inks. I believe I used mahogany, worn lipstick and tea dye. Just rub a little on the mat then use a water brush to paint with it. Use as much or as little water as you need to achieve the desired effect.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Merriweather,Georgia,"Times New Roman",Times,serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.5px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<span style="color: white;">I then added a bunch of collage elements to hide the old stuff . I used gel medium to stick everything down.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Merriweather,Georgia,"Times New Roman",Times,serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.5px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<span style="color: white;">I think my favorite element is the stamped woman. I used a dylusions stamp which is headless with archival ink so it wouldn't smudge. I painted the dress and hat using the same technique and colors as the flowers. The head and eye are free images that I found on the internet. I Layered them and added them to my project using gel medium.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Merriweather,Georgia,"Times New Roman",Times,serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.5px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<span style="color: white;">The strips of lace are from the ephemera kits. I aged them using a combination of watered distress inks and color wash. They are stuck down with tacky tape. I left the top one long so I could fold it onto itself and have it cascade down to the pocket. I stuck it down where it folds with fabric glue. Next time I may use hot glue because it took forever to dry.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Merriweather,Georgia,"Times New Roman",Times,serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.5px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<span style="color: white;">Next I collaged the larger elements, sticking them down with tacky glue. I think hot glue would have worked better here also. The butterfly is on a wire so I just wrapped it around the center of the flower. I added a few spritz of distress spray to give everything a more uniform color.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Merriweather,Georgia,"Times New Roman",Times,serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.5px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<span style="color: white;">Finally for the handle I used a Tim Holtz ideology ring binder and a pre made purse handle from the craft store. The fittings were originally silver which didn't really go with my project so I spray painted them gold. I drilled holes in the top and used brads to attach the ring binder.</span></div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.5px;">
<span style="color: white;">Voila...project completed. Please leave me comments and let me know what you think. If this inspires any of your own projects post a picture in the comments. Thank you so much!</span><br />

<b>Our amazing designer came up with this awesome tutorial. </b><br />
<b>This is the second project. Due date 31 januari to finish all the project. </b><br />
<br />
<b>This is an alarm clock. Wonderfull project. </b><br />
<br />
<b>The name of this project is Winter. What is your favorite season or your favorite colors. Choose them both to create this amazing project by Nanette Bourdeu. </b><br />
<br />
<b>Project #2 (please check out our first project) </b><br />
<br />
I made this faux alarm clock out of a tuna can after seeing them made on
YouTube. I posted this on the 1st and have since learned many tricks
that would have made it better/easier but none that would save my
fingers from hot glue :) So here we go but bear in mind use what you
have on hand! (Remember: use up your stash).<br />
<br />
This project requires nothing set in stone but a can of
some sort that fits the form of it. Everything else can be made from
things you have in your stash, I know this!<br />
<br />
Step 1.<br />
Paint the outside of the can in colors of your choice. I
choose a green because it was the only metal paint I had but any acrylic
paint will work. Then splatter on some white, silver, gold, blue,
whatever makes your heart sing while you splatter!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBhaxln70T45gps2ym_CpjP1qsvu1IHJYfnmUPiVYGCSzQOdJse7eWmr48CMgnY6qZMrGAVHgUwUD68R9lKVOCyjr5RXAanyrehX4vYP3h48Y6l4IZfa6b9D8AzwTmEWGO8T5x7oOsmBM/s1600/scrap4.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBhaxln70T45gps2ym_CpjP1qsvu1IHJYfnmUPiVYGCSzQOdJse7eWmr48CMgnY6qZMrGAVHgUwUD68R9lKVOCyjr5RXAanyrehX4vYP3h48Y6l4IZfa6b9D8AzwTmEWGO8T5x7oOsmBM/s320/scrap4.jpg" width="276" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 2. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Paint the inside of your can to coordinate with your paper or background
you have chosen (look through your stash). <b>I added salt to mine while it was wet for some texture
as I was wanting a snowy scene.</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5CSVuYq5ZL_niwkot5Yaqh-FTlHpPNozjtyN-xMmdHiwdvyZuxOCddngv2QbZeAKEqogIGXf0BpjlzvJszeCciSOWg2PYuDxG-bASzvhCJvip5cspvRmntiAht8OkjXzGWMkIex0BE7Q/s1600/scrap5.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5CSVuYq5ZL_niwkot5Yaqh-FTlHpPNozjtyN-xMmdHiwdvyZuxOCddngv2QbZeAKEqogIGXf0BpjlzvJszeCciSOWg2PYuDxG-bASzvhCJvip5cspvRmntiAht8OkjXzGWMkIex0BE7Q/s320/scrap5.jpg" width="294" /></a></div>
<br />
Step
3.<br />
Put some feet on it! Beads, scrabble tiles, whatever you have that
will hold up the front and then I added a scrabble tile on the back of
the original one and a little Winter bling thing on the back of this
one worked just fine. I stacked beads on the first and used just one
large pearl for this one. <b>Proves anything can work that you have in
your stash!</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjK7Af09xIdiu9Ww9tYicRlrfgiYGL44LrucXDVW8bQCJECe9-f1xt8xELY7PVPFj-NjSA-gBAXAFAVRMi_RV4XpVGas5q7N3ODCciropzTcAO-4Fzi23nAjlrraNnBfYnEUEDbeW457c/s1600/scrap6.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjK7Af09xIdiu9Ww9tYicRlrfgiYGL44LrucXDVW8bQCJECe9-f1xt8xELY7PVPFj-NjSA-gBAXAFAVRMi_RV4XpVGas5q7N3ODCciropzTcAO-4Fzi23nAjlrraNnBfYnEUEDbeW457c/s320/scrap6.jpg" width="283" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Step 4.<br />
Start on the top. For both of mine I used some things that
have a name that I cannot recall that my Mom gave to me years ago. But I
have seen bottle caps used either single or two together on each side
and it looks awesome! My bottle caps were hiding when I looked for them
so I went with the same thingys. Glue a bead down to raise them up and
then glue them on top. <b> Use what you have.</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4NaSNJlXhYQdGRoR7zFkh2_IQGvQTFcg25DrbyhIYz2DKS8-VwXG9b4OABv_yzbKVKQz6IroPwItSG5cHPPMd6l43A1c9nDVeeXp98_97lnyLSiAm7BeLdg6wh7RZS9FdrawQD_QnkcE/s1600/scrap8.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="188" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4NaSNJlXhYQdGRoR7zFkh2_IQGvQTFcg25DrbyhIYz2DKS8-VwXG9b4OABv_yzbKVKQz6IroPwItSG5cHPPMd6l43A1c9nDVeeXp98_97lnyLSiAm7BeLdg6wh7RZS9FdrawQD_QnkcE/s320/scrap8.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Step 5.<br />
For the first one I took a pipe cleaner and wrapped ribbon
around it. This one I found a piece of <b>soda can</b> I had run through the
embossing machine for something so decided to cut out the shape of the
top wire. I could still wrap it with ribbon if I wanted to or refine
the shape a bit or use an actual piece of wire for it. It doesn't show
up too well against the table covering on the pic, sorry!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKUFpTRNJqD2TghYtMni46b0XkNjCeHPWp4QMgubItDebZh2bi-St_DfPs3fC8J0GQYMxk8_uV-pzpTw2z8Fp4NuNQaERe8cZ812ZMvCrHklSIUkX-2JB2PFjUk0qiDuFmtzI857jFoCg/s1600/scrap9.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="169" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKUFpTRNJqD2TghYtMni46b0XkNjCeHPWp4QMgubItDebZh2bi-St_DfPs3fC8J0GQYMxk8_uV-pzpTw2z8Fp4NuNQaERe8cZ812ZMvCrHklSIUkX-2JB2PFjUk0qiDuFmtzI857jFoCg/s320/scrap9.jpg" width="320" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step
6. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Assemble all your embellishments for the inside (<b>look through your stash</b>). I used a die cut
on some pretty blue background paper, a deer, a small tree, and lots of
glitter! You can use virtually anything to make your scene. A digital
or stamped image cut out on some cereal box cardboard to help it stand
up and build around that. Your backing paper can lead you into a scene
if you don't have an idea before you start. Then I added the outside
embellishments....<b>be careful hot glue will burn your poor fingers!</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhETd-5UNbzS5nDGRt8YXdwt8SwiTHZmsSo2HOhiO8mWivEc-2jNKybRnexIZcNX0WMd2gSg8YAM0FW40NFLxtu4qpO57piPCc1sw10ni7IXMPqsPSr77fcMgtlf1oOr1_tg_0TEpt3L_o/s1600/janrheeds.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhETd-5UNbzS5nDGRt8YXdwt8SwiTHZmsSo2HOhiO8mWivEc-2jNKybRnexIZcNX0WMd2gSg8YAM0FW40NFLxtu4qpO57piPCc1sw10ni7IXMPqsPSr77fcMgtlf1oOr1_tg_0TEpt3L_o/s320/janrheeds.jpg" width="235" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hope this
helps you get your imagination running!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

What is scrapmixing: <br />
<br />
Scrapmixing is a whole new concept I came up with. It's like art Therapy with the focus on scapbooking and mixed media. It's is a movement.<br />
<br />
There is No
good or wrong, to be unique by sharing your story. The good and the bad
ones. About your feelings. <br />
<br />
It's all about challenging yourself to push yourself to be creative in a
way you never knew you could. It's not just about designing it's a
creative therapy. To change your life for the better and not by telling
your story as expected but sharing your story and helping yourself and
others. <br />
<br />
There will be a lot of challenges, tutorials and life stories. Making
the world a better place. Everything begins with just one tiny step.
Learn yourself and change your life just by scrapmixing. <br />
<br />
Scrapbooking connects people all around the globe. You are not alone.
You are as creative, succesfull as you wish. It is not being on a
designteam, money or anything other then YOU. <br />
<br />
Are you in to change your life by sharing your story. Eventhough how
hard life can get but you still have the energy to create, to love, to
share and to help yourself and others by becoming your better version?<br />
<br />
We would love to have you on the team. <br />
<br />
Have a blessed day<br />
<br />
